After Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, a team of students from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), traveled to Waveland, Miss., to aid victims with gutting houses and cleaning churches and properties destroyed by Katrina.

This Soundslide project was created soon after the hurricane swept through the Gulf Coast. The project was completed on deadline, including all shooting and editing while also assisting the team of IUPUI students in cleaning up the devastation. The images were filed via FTP to an online server. We, along with many newspapers, used the Internet connection we found on a bus with satellite connection.
