This is the story of an eight year old boy from Guatemala. His name is Elder and was born with a deformity in his right foot. A team of American orthopaedic surgeons names Operation Walk traveled to Guatemala City, Guatemala and operated his foot.

This photo essay was chosen after shooting multiple patients throughout the span of six days.Along these photos, video was also shot of the operations and patients. The video was used to place daily reports on the web about what the Operation Walk team was doing in Guatemala.
